Image Analysis

Arkema Analytical Solutions has developed a wide range of customized image acquisition, analysis and processing methodologies.  Our image analysis techniques may be applied to images obtained by a variety of techniques including atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or optical microscopy.

Applications of the image analysis techniques at Arkema Analytical Solutions include:

• Domain size and size distribution measurement on polymer blends, composites, and other multicomponent systems
• Domain shape characterization
• Quantitative analysis of particle dispersion or clustering
• Volume fraction measurement of multicomponent systems by ASTM E562
