Adhesion

With the addition of TDCE, there was a significant improvement in the recorded peak force to the extent that the adhesion improvement for Formulation C versus HFC-134a was over 35% for the samples foamed at 90°F and allowed to cure for 4 hours. A similar improvement was recorded for the samples foamed at 115°F and allowed to cure for 4 hours. Observations performed during the testing confirmed these data; the amount of foam that stuck to the steel was noticeably higher for the foams containing TDCE.
