Vapor Pressure and Solubility
More User Friendly Processing and Handling
One of the drawbacks of polyol, or "B" side premixes containing HFCs, is their tendency to have a high vapor pressure. Therefore, a pressurized container is required when a high loading of the HFC is used.
Due to its higher boiling point (48ºC) and excellent solubility, Transcend® additive can reduce the vapor pressure of the "B" side blends by improving the solubility of the HFC. In addition, Transcend® additive technology allows you to reduce the levels of the lower boiling HFCs, thus further reducing the pressure. The result is improved processing and handling.
The Transcend® additive technology is completely miscible with polyurethane raw materials such as polymeric MDI, polyester polyols, polyether polyols, catalysts and other additives.
